January 7, 2020 Knowing what the Oximiser 3X is doing in each cycle allows me to now use it properly and leave it connected for long enough to go through the full cycles; I find it simple to understand what's going on and what state my batteries are in" - Bike Social by Bennetts Optimisers can not always revive a flat battery as this will depend on how much it has already been discharged.( Heavily discharged batteries as low as 4.1 V can be charged if the battery is not damaged. Hi does this optimiser come with all the leads or is it just the unit , withoutleads November 7, 2019 It's almost like sometimes it doesn't even see the battery, sometimes the charger does nothing when connected to it.

Charge the unit, and then take it on tour. Once charged, it'll hold its power for a year and will recover a dead bike battery enough to start your engine in around 15 minutes. The charge is delivered to your battery progressively, too – reducing the risk of jump-start damage. It's absolutely superb and really works. Yes, it's a pricey solution, but it works brilliantly and is invaluable if you're off the grid where your bike lives. Is this charge suitable for Lithium Batteries. I have read some manufacturer statements saying as long as they are not left on for long periods and the chargers don't charge at 15+ volts they should befine? January 29, 2018 It has a 6a output, which gives it a decent amount of punch when it comes to topping up low batteries in a pinch. My bike wouldn't start after a month of autumn inactivity, but a 30-minute top-up from the Ring charger had it firing on the button again. Lesson learned - just leave it plugged in. Once fully charged the Oximiser 3X stops charging and monitors the battery for an hour to establish if can hold a full charge. The ‘Maintain’ light flashes during this period. If the battery can’t hold its charge the ‘weak battery’ light comes on and the Oximiser 3X will keep charging until the battery is able to hold a charge. If it still fails to do so after three charges, the ‘weak’ light flashes and charging stops. Oximiser 900 can be left permanently connected to provide guaranteed long term battery care. The ‘charge’ mode gives a constant current of either 0.8 Amps or 3.6 Amps depending on the charge mode selected. Knowing what the Oximiser 3X is doing in each cycle allows me to now use it properly and leave it connected for long enough to go through the full cycles; I find it simple to understand what’s going on and what state my batteries are in. It’s much easier to understand than my old Optimate III because the display tells you the voltage, charge rate and whether the battery is strong or weak. We would not recommend this for outdoor use, but it will be fine in a shed (as long as it does not getwet) Attach to your battery and it will charge until the battery has reached full capacity and thereafter ensure it is kept in a tip-top condition. If the battery is deeply discharged it will recover it with a varying charge rate and then it never drops below the critical voltage level of 12.6V. The digital displays and battery level indicators keep you informed every step of the way. They are suitable for a variety of vehicle batteries. The Oxford Oximiser 3800 is capable of charging batteries from 1.2Ah up to 125Ah making it capable for carapplications.

I expect the charger is fully working, but if the battery was dud then the charger should tell me so... These put some load on the battery so that it isn’t simply under constant charge, as this can also, paradoxically, damage the battery and reduce its capacity as well. March 24, 2023 Smart charging is all about monitoring the battery condition, applying the correct rate of charge at the right time to keep the battery healthy but also to optimise power consumption by a unit designed to be left plugged-in.Why even consider using an oxford charger if you have a good LiPo charger? most will do Pb, and do it far better than even the top end automotive poo. So, I need a charger that I can swap between bikes to leave running for 48 hours to charge ’em up and then swap to another of the five bikes in our shed. Oh, and because we both work mostly from home now, I also need something that can top-up the car battery too, because that sits mostly outside in all weathers. Ok, that's a bit flippant because, in addition to those scant requirements, I also want it to be wall mounted, with a hard connection to my battery, so I don't have to faff about with crocodile clips. The battery on my bike is a AGM (absorbed glass Matt) sealed lead acid battery. This type of battery isn't listed for the this charger. Is the Oxford Oximiser 900 suitable to use on this type ofbattery? July 30, 2019
