About this deal

Our product is 100% sourced in New Zealand. In agricultural circles, it's known that the clean air, green pastures, and animal husbandry is at a higher level Consuming enough can help prevent a deficiency, which can cause symptoms like fatigue, muscle weakness, brain fog and mood changes. 2. Great Source of Active Vitamin A You don’t find recipes for liver in many modern cookbooks but scan the internet and you will find liver recipes from cuisines around the world. Need more assurance.. Recall that foods like liver, bone marrow and other organs / glands give us the vital nourishment that we need for energy metabolism, a strong immune system, a properly functioning endocrine system and to heal and be healthy. When our biology works better, there's less need for our own liver to ramp up the manufacturing of more cholesterol. That's right, this is where most of our cholesterol comes from... our own liver makes it and sends it for repair purposes! The take home message is this... grass-fed, pasture-raised organs and glands are not only safe to consume but one could convincingly argue that these nutrients are required to support and optimize our blood cholesterol and overall heart health. Enjoy! One serving of our Grassfed Beef Liver provides approximately 2mgs of glandular derived heme iron. Heme iron is bound to hemoglobin of which up to 33% is absorbed compared to non-heme iron which can have as little as 2% absorption... 2mgs per serving may not sound like a lot but a little heme iron can make a substantial difference in managing your iron status. Here is the iron profile for other popular products:

Cut liver into strips, about 3 inches long and 1/2 inch wide, and marinate in lemon juice. Pat dry. Chop up some onions and cook them in bacon fat and remove. Cook liver in the fat until almost solidly pink because once it turns brown, the liver flavor is stronger. This is delicious with a big serving of kale and butter and a pile of fermented carrots. Lisaalternatively, if the liver has been frozen for more than 14 days already, you can cook it less and maintain the desirable texture Do you consume other forms of liver, or real vitamin A rich foods (i.e. liver products) that would contribute to your vitamin A status?Should we be cautious to not over consume something that most of us are already deficient in and suffering health consequences from? I think that there's a point here and I think that the answer is maybe… So if you’re new to consuming organ meats, I recommend starting with half the prescribed serving size for a few days before ramping up your intake. Liver is high in vitamin B6, choline, biotin and folate. These nutrients, especially folate, help your body with something called methylation as well as cellular functions.

Ancestral Supplements’ beef liver is carefully processed (freeze-dried), non-defatted, and made from only the best and purest ingredients using cattle from New Zealand. Blood tests have revealed lipids in the optimal range, Vitamin D in a therapeutic range, and Vitamin B12 several times higher than the reference range, which typically indicates liver failure (the only way B12 gets that high on the standard american diet is when a person’s own liver begins breaking down and releasing uncontrolled amounts into the bloodstream). Our product is 100% freeze dried in contrast to the heat processed varieties. This means that you get more of the heat sensitive vitamins, minerals and co-factors that make organ meats so incredibly nourishing CONSIDER THESOURCE Gerson had his patients drink 13 glasses of vegetable juice a day, eat raw veggies, and have beef liver or liver juice. (He also recommended performing coffee enema.) Now you know that liver is rich in real, preformed vitamin A (5,000 iu per serving) and has meaningful amounts of zinc. That said, if you are deficient in vitamin D, vitamin K2 and/or magnesium, you will not see as much benefit as you could (nor) will you be optimizing health metrics. Do you regularly get mid day sun exposure, or take a vitamin D3 supplement? Do you eat fermented veggies like kim chi or sauerkraut or take a vitamin K2 supplement? Do you take a magnesium supplement (I personally recommend a trans-dermal magnesium oil spray because it's virtually impossible to get enough magnesium from diet alone).

Note that many of my customers take more than the prescribed number of liver capsules without any negative side effects. I usually supplement with 4,500 to 6,000 mg of desiccated beef liver and never experience any problems with vitamin A toxicity or other theoretical issues. We take the beef liver from grass-fed cows and dry it into a powder. Liver does have some fat and saturated fat in general. The vast majority of the fats present in Perfect Desiccated Liver will come from fats within the beef liver. The key to delicious liver is lots of garlic. Use lard to sauté it, and add some olive oil when it’s closer to done. Don’t overcook it. First saute 1 onion and at least 5 cloves of garlic with plenty of herbs and spices, whatever you like. Slice the liver up nice and thin, cook for about 5 minutes and flip around once a minute. Cook some bacon at the same time and cut into small pieces to serve on top of the liver along with the onions and garlic. Chris M From an ingredients perspective, these beef liver pills are comparable to the products from MK Supplements, Ancestral Supplements and Enviromedica. In other words, the liver the company uses is sourced from 100% grass-fed New Zealand cattle. FACT: Liver contains a source of iron bound to hemoglobin (heme iron) of which up to 33% is absorbed compared to non-heme iron which can have as little as 2% absorption. If you're looking to increase your iron intake, look no further than our Spleen product... it has 5 X's the iron!] GRASSFED BEEF LIVER SUPPORTS...

FDA STATEMENT:These statementshave not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. A single dose of a desiccated liver supplement contains more than 40 times the minimum required daily amount of vitamin B12. An important folate-dependent reaction in the body is the conversion of the methylation of deoxyuridylate to thymidylate in the formation of DNA, which is required for proper cell division. When this process is impaired, this initiates megaloblastic anemia, one of the hallmarks of folate deficiency.I never forgot the day my mama brought a whole liver home for the first time. She carefully removed the butcher’s wrapping paper and wanted to grate the liver as the doctor had suggested. BUT… the moment i saw the liver, i snatched it out of her hands and started tearing off bite by bite, chewing and swallowing, until the whole piece had disappeared into my weakish little body!!! This experience helped me realize that the reference ranges for most nutrients are scarcely above levels that prevent deficiency, certainly inadequate for athletes, and likely far below optimal levels that prevailed in the evolutionary environment. Freeze-drying is an excellent method to preserve as many micronutrients as possible. That’s why I recommend products that were manufactured using this method. Third-Party Testing Marinate slices of liver in the fridge overnight in lemon juice or water with vinegar, plus lots of garlic and bay laurel leaf. After marinating, pat dry and fry in olive oil and/or lard and/or butter until well done (really brown on the outside and slightly rose inside). (Kidneys work well with this recipe also.) The key is marinating to take away any unpleasant taste. Florabela

Later, patients didn’t have to choke down liver but could receive extracts and still later, vitamin B12. . .” Protein also works to encourage hair health and build and strengthen bones, skin and blood. #4 – Iron The recommended dose of Perfect Desiccated Liver is 4 capsules (3 grams) a day, which contains 70% protein by weight, 2.8mg of iron, 969 IU of vitamin A, and 5.5mcg of vitamin B12. In spite of widespread tradition and abundant scientific evidence on the health benefits of liver, conventional nutritionists and government agencies now warn against its consumption. The putative dangers of eating liver stem from two concerns–the assumption that liver contains many toxins and the high level of vitamin A that it provides.

To support Brian’s comment — and Brian is extremely well acquainted with the benefits of raw liver, both on himself and on his customers — allow me to add my own experience. This is the easy part... it doesn't cost anything... it doesn't require a whole lot of effort... all you need to do is take off your shoes and put your bare feet directly on the earth (grass, dirt, gravel, sand, etc). That's it! Do this for a 10 minute stretch and pay attention to how you feel. Do it in the morning, do it in the evening or do it every few days... some is better than none. If you see and feel the value in it, you'll do it more... we (The Johnson Family) do it everyday for at least a few minutes and we do it weekly when we go on our barefoot hikes. I can't say anything objective about it but I love the ancestral connection, and it just feels right! Fast forward to 2017… can you give us an update as it relates to how you’re doing? Keto / primal / paleo has become a trending diet… and for good reason! Would love to get an update from you. In Japan, it has always been considered an important food for pregnant women. Today, it’s still commonly consumed in France, Argentina, India, Spain, Russia, parts of Scandinavia and parts of the Middle East. Types:
