The Janome 8002dg overlocker is the ideal overlocker for beginners, this well proven, easy to use machine has a combination of features not found on some more expensive models. It clocks in at 1300 stitches per minute, but you’ll be able to finish your projects with swift ease. The 8002dg Janome comes pre-threaded and converts quickly to rolled hemming for a professional finish.My first overlocker, no they aren’t simple but after spending just a couple of hours I was well away, I love it and wish I had bought it earlier. Adjustable: The foot pressure is adjustable on this Janome 8002D overlocker machine, and the cutting width is also adjustable- from 3. It’s the basic entry level, I didn’t want to spend too much incase I couldn’t get along with it, but it sews fantastic, no complaints. The 8002DG has 2 needles and can be used with 3 or 4 threads depending on the type of fabric or finish you require.

The 8200DG is an easy to use and comes with an instructional DVD and does various overlocker stitch variants.With the 8002GD Overlocker, you’ll be able to sew with up to 4 threads, and work with as few as 3 threads so that you can create different stitch variations and use the right stitch for any particular project. As well as the regular instruction manual, the machine comes with very useful tutorial DVD and is supplied ready threaded with 4 cones of white overlock thread. Chop-Chop: There is a built-in thread cutter in this machine, which we personally feel is an underrated feature! Length and Width: On the Janome 8002D, the stitch length is set to 4mm and the seam width is set at 5. Whilst it is easy to use, it comes with an instructional DVD to explain the wide range of stitch options.
