I don’t think it was necessary to make it that long because cmon she is only eighteen at high school, she has a lot of problems, she could have been having some fun. For them it was a pure system of platonic help, without sexual implications, which, unfortunately for outsiders, was not read in the same way - Skylar is 18, Jude 34. It takes skill to develop and resolve a romance once the initial dramatic points have been set up - skills this author evidently does not have. Afterwards Brick tells Masha's father Vlatko about the condom and Bryan's supposed attempt to have sex with Masha, Vlatko becomes enraged and prepares to fly to the island. But what starts out as a platonic relationship, with friends caring for each other starts to build into something more.

The story is sweet and tragic and addicting, still I struggled with it as the mfc is so damaged in a way that was heartbreaking. Carian Cole did not focus on presenting a relationship in superlatives, she showed the worse side, how society and the environment often react to relationships with a large age difference, how that can affect couples, which made the book more credible, and showed a picture of what to struggle with couples must, how often the opinion of others can influence them, how they can try to defend themselves, and as a result of pressure and opinion, they often deny themselves the right to happiness and love. There was no attraction there yet because of their age gap, which is why I loved their friendship so much. But the age gap (18/34) only works if both parties are on solid ground, and this heroine is really not in a healthy place when they meet. This story took you on the journey of a couple who had their own demons in the past and were brought together. His rich baritone has garnered a solid fan base and has allowed him to range from paranormal romance to military romance, from "motorcycle bad boy" to "boardroom dom. The book was over a hundred pages too long, and by the end, I was no longer invested in this couple, just tired with the endless seesaw of up and down between them. Some GR members (you know who you are, not worth mentioning your profile names) think I hate all books.

As he spends more time with her and a budding friendship ensues he sees the effect her life is having on her, he decides to jump in and help her out by marrying her temporarily so that she can get up on her feet. Thanks to the amazing writing, the characters were brought to life so vividly in my mind - it was like they were right in front of me.I loved everything about it, including the realistic way that showed the natural fear of judgement from others due to where they each were in their lives at the time of their getting together. He has a house with an extra room, good health insurance, and he can help her get out of her situation by getting married. No missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, no underlining or highlighting of text, and no writing in the margins. It wasn't always easy and i liked how the author portrayed their struggles and fears with everything because it was real and it was never glossed over. Like when my car broke down and I needed a ride home, and when I face planted on the sidewalk right in front of him and had to be taken to the emergency room.

Even though she hasn’t known Jude for very long, there is a building trust that she is coming to have faith in. Life just had to fuck with me by throwing the perfect girl in my life and then twisting the knife by making her only eighteen years old.I suffer with Jude and Skylar, I laugh and cry with them, I tremble with them hoping for an happyend. Read all An unassuming pet photographer is thrown into serious action, adventure and romance when he's forced to marry a Croatian bride and spend his honeymoon at a remote tropical resort where she is kidnapped.

The book cover has no visible wear, and the dust jacket (if applicable) is included for hard covers. It wouldn’t matter if I were a hundred, or five, or any age in between—I would still love and care about this man with my whole heart and soul. It's a modern day marriage of convenience with a giant age gap but I really liked the unique setup of it. I loved the subplots in this book, they balanced the main age-gap romance plot out really well and just made everything feel so realistic – which is one of the amazing things about this book, the ups and down and imperfect nature of their relationship even during the highs. This book had me swooning all over the place, Jude, aka Lucky was just pure perfection, with a perfectly imperfect heroine, making these two perfect for each other!
